Position OverviewLead the design and construction of power, lighting, and telecommunication systems for new construction and renovations. Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver high‑quality deliverables, coordinate projects, and provide technical leadership.
LocationArlington, VA or Pittsburgh, PA with travel to client and project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical Design:
Lead design and construction administration of electrical systems, ensuring code compliance and cost‑effectiveness. - Subject Matter Expertise:
Apply advanced knowledge of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and protective systems to complex projects. - Client
Collaboration:
Develop custom electrical solutions that enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost‑effectiveness. - Technical Documentation:
Produce system specifications, technical reports, narratives, and construction documents. - Quality Assurance:
Review both your work and the team’s output for safety and reliability. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry advances, propose innovative solutions, and mentor team members. - Team
Collaboration:
Work with multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. - Business Development:
Participate in interviews and presentations to support new opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- PE license required, with ability to pursue additional state licenses.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architectural or electrical engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
- 8+ years of building electrical engineering experience.
- Proficient with cloud‑based and mobile collaboration tools; skilled in Revit and related software.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities, with a commitment to company culture.
