Responsibilities- Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Create and maintain project schedules for mid-size to large projects.
- Manage project team’s scope, schedule, budget and quality on assigned projects.
- Assist in the production of HVAC and plumbing system deliverables (Specifications, drawings, calculations, and basis of design documents) for new buildings as well as renovations and additions to existing facilities.
- Actively coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors on projects.
- Actively mentor/share knowledge with other staff members.
- Oversee the creation and analysis of project energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis utilizing Trace 3D and BLCC.
- Oversee creation of 2D drawings (P&IDs, control diagrams, and notes) in REVIT.
- Perform construction period services (review of submittals, responses to RFI’s, etc.).
- Present in front of large groups that include clients, peers, contractors, and end-user groups.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of building mechanical codes and ability to perform accurate load calculations.
- Strong HVAC/Plumbing design capability in industrial, commercial, central plants, boilers, chillers and related markets.
- Knowledgeable in sustainable design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: design experience related to Federal industry, European, General MILCON, or Civil Works project experience;
Building Controls Systems Design/Building Automation; CFD modeling. - Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program; minimum 5 years related work experience. - Holds active engineering registration or licensure to support Engineer of Record (EOR) requirements where applicable.
