Installation Energy Optimization Analyst

Overview

LMI is seeking an Installation Energy Optimization Analyst to support the implementation and oversight of a controls-related installation energy management program for a large government client. The position will hybrid, with some work located at the client site in the Washington, DC area and some work located remotely.

• Provide program management and analyses support to assist in the development of strategy, policy, plans and guidance related to a wide range of installation energy programs and initiatives.
• Provide expertise and guidance in management of energy compliance and policies, and energy efficiencies.
• Assess feasibility, cost, and mission impact of diverse energy project proposals.
• Make recommendations to enhance energy optimization and energy efficiency at military installations.
• Coordinate with cross agency stakeholders to elicit energy requirements and conduct gap analysis.
• Research and respond to sustainability/energy data requests from other oversight agencies (e.g., OMB or Congress)
• Validate energy requirements against ongoing and proposed projects.
• Develop, measure, and recommend energy resilience and efficiency metrics.
• Support the client’s facility energy project development efforts and energy resilience initiatives by acting as a senior technical advisor and subject matter expert.
• Evaluate energy resilience and energy optimization initiatives to determine expected impact, timelines, costs, constraints, and implementation considerations.
• Coordinate with government, utility, industry, and public stakeholders to advance energy resilience initiatives.

• Experience working at the OSW or Service HQ Staff /Joint Staff
• Degree:
  Masters, or ten (10) years of relevant work experience, with a major in Operational research/analysis, military sciences, engineering, scientific, or other technical degree; social sciences degree may be considered with comparable and appropriate professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of DOD organization and structure.
