Bishop O’Connell is seeking an English teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. Qualified candidates will have the background and be prepared to teach various courses across the discipline at college prep and advanced levels. Applicants should have a degree in English. Teaching experience, advanced degree, and/or education coursework is preferred. The department emphasizes critical thinking, writing skills and collaboration. The successful candidate will have a passion for literature and student engagement.
Central to our curriculum is the exploration of how texts enlighten the understanding of Catholic identity, relationships and the dignity of the human person.
