Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Psychologist position is available for a middle school setting in Arlington, VA, with an immediate start and contract through the end of the school year. This role requires a dedicated professional with experience serving middle or high school students and holding an active state licensure or certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to support student learning and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Analyze student data and contribute to the development of safe and effective school environments
  • Participate in meetings and communicate assessment results to stakeholders

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

  • Active state license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Prior experience in middle school or high school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention methods
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidential records
