This position is a 1.0 FTE located rles R. Drew Elementary School.

All Teachers/Instructional Staff hired after January 15th are considered term employees. This position is a term position that is effective for FY26 through June 18, 2026 only. You would need to re-apply for a position for FY27.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.

Experience

• Experience working with children with autism.
• Knowledge of and experience with a variety of strategies for instruction for students with autism.
• Knowledge and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Experience with the Picture Exchange Communication System.

Knowledge and experience using assistive technology.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues.
• Flexible, dependable, and highly organized.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to design, implement and evaluate individual behavior management systems

Salary will be based on the FY 2025-26 salary schedule
