Operations Trainer

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor‑led training and PowerPoint presentations
• Develop and design training materials and presentations
• Submit class attendance records for all training events
• Monitor computer‑based and classroom training to ensure team members are current with required courses
• Comply with all security requirements, procedures, and safety policies of all Air Carriers
• Conduct 40 hours of on‑the‑job training to familiarize team members with proper procedures
• Submit completed OJT checklists for all agents in training
• Proctor exams and tests
• Communicate pertinent information and briefings with team members
• Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure all training procedures are followed
• Train team members to service aircraft and operate ground equipment as needed
• Provide initial and ongoing training to employees and managers, including new hire orientation, customer service training, ramp training, harassment training, management concepts training, and recurrent training for all employees
• Work with trainers from other organizations to provide or support additional training requirements, and hazardous goods training
• Train new hires during the orientation period on policy and industry‑related duties; evaluate effectiveness by administering topic‑specific tests and quizzes
• Maintain accurate training records and files for all employees
• Follow all safety rules; report unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to the proper authority
• Perform other duties as assigned based on managerial needs or airline activity

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)
• Associate degree (preferred)

• At least 1 year of experience in Ramp Operations, preferably as a Lead Ramp Agent working in both International and Domestic Operations
• 1 year of aviation training experience

• Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong self‑organization and self‑management skills, with emphasis on self‑initiation and follow‑through
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
• Experience operating all Ground Service Equipment on both International and Domestic Operations
• Ability to work in a classroom environment
