Overview

Position Title:

Physician - General Surgery. The physician is a member of the healthcare team who works in collaboration with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice is defined through the health system’s credentialing and privileging committee. The physician supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level and participates in quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs.

The role is to provide quality clinical care to patients in a timely manner to meet their needs.

Responsibilities
  • The physician collaborates with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive healthcare services.
  • Supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level.
  • Implements quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs.
  • Provides quality clinical care to patients who have chosen VHC Health in a timely manner.
Education
  • Doctorate from accredited medical school is required.
Experience
  • One year of medical/surgical experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
