The National Electrical Manufacturing Association (NEMA) seeks an intern to undertake projects that will help them learn about the electrical industry and medical imaging industry and how NEMA operates as an industry trade association to promote the interests of the industries we represent.

Position Description and ResponsibilitiesNEMA offers three separate summer internships in public policy, electrification & emerging technologies, communications, marketing, finance, and human resources. Under the guidance of Vice Presidents, this hands‑on internship will provide meaningful training and education across diverse topics and functions. The intern will learn from industry and subject‑matter leaders by engaging in meetings, strategizing with NEMA staff, and preparing research and analysis.
Possible areas of engagement include electric vehicles, microgrids, digitalization, supply chain challenges, infrastructure implementation, the energy transition, energy storage, and smart grids.
This is an exciting opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain experience promoting the adoption of emerging electrical technologies. Approximately 20 hours a week of valuable experience will be offered over a 90‑day summer period. NEMA offers a hybrid schedule (minimum of two days per week in the office) located in Arlington (Rosslyn), Virginia.

- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university program in the United States, or recently graduated (in 2024) from an accredited institution
- Monthly stipend $1,000
