  • Prepare organizational leaders and subject-matter experts for media interviews, briefings, and thought-leadership opportunities, ensuring message discipline and strategic clarity
  • Partner cross-functionally with policy, marketing, digital, and grassroots teams to ensure earned media and thought leadership are integrated across owned, paid, and shared channels
  • Support CVA’s strategic growth initiatives, including expansion into new states, launch of new campaigns, and development of new partnerships
  • Coordinate communications projects across multiple initiatives, managing timelines, priorities, and stakeholders to ensure consistent execution and impact
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on media performance and campaign outcomes; establish KPIs and reporting frameworks focused on reach, influence, and continuous improvement
  • Provide strategic guidance during sensitive or crisis situations, navigating reputational risk while advancing organizational priorities
  • Manage agency partners, vendors, and budgets to maximize efficiency and impact
Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of veteran affairs, foreign policy, or related public policy domains, with the ability to quickly develop expertise across new issue areas
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies that align narrative, brand, and policy objectives
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience producing press materials, opinion content, messaging frameworks, and executive communications
