Background Information:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of cutting‑edge cloud-based integration, automated testing and data analysis for complex, mission‑critical systems in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), is seeking a Building Facilities Specialist to be based in our Arlington, VA office. Leveraging advanced software automation, model‑based systems engineering (MBSE), and AI‑driven capabilities, IDT accelerates capability development, enhances operational readiness, and reduces lifecycle costs for the Department of Defense.

Overview

The Building Facilities Specialist will assist and support the management of all facilities owned or leased by IDT, including classified and unclassified spaces, at four current office locations:
Arlington, VA;
Fall River, MA;
Mt. Laurel, NJ; and San Diego, CA. This position is in Arlington, VA with up to 20% travel. All applicants must currently possess an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Support and assist the Facilities Manager in all projects/tasks across the company.
  • Respond to facility‑related requests from employees and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate and execute property maintenance and repairs, working closely with vendors and contractors.
  • Interface and coordinate with building management personnel to manage contractors and vendors for maintenance and repair work.
  • Assist with office space planning, seating arrangements, and workstation setups.
  • Support company events and office moves by coordinating logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements such as building codes and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that facility needs are met.
  • Ensure that all facilities are clean and presentable; assist with preparations for large‑scale meetings or demonstrations.
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • 5 years experience in facilities coordination, office management, or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field.
Required skills
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Preferred skills
  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • OSHA/EHS Certifications.
Competencies
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 Skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Thrives in a team environment, but capable of working independently.
