Staff Accountant

[solidcore] is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing HQ Accounting Team. The ideal candidate is an accounting professional with a strong foundation in GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. This individual is highly motivated, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role will support core accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue reporting, and month-end close activities.

Located in Arlington, Virginia, this position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a rapidly expanding, investor-backed fitness brand.

Responsibilities:

• Organize, process, and code weekly invoices, including preparing and executing vendor payments
• Maintain strong communication and positive working relationships with [solidcore] vendors
• Support revenue reporting
• Perform AR and AP reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Respond to requests from external auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Possess a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Must be local to the Arlington/DMV area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multi-location retail, or membership-based business experience
• Net Suite or similar accounting ERP software experience
• CPA or CPA candidate
