Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Service Technician to join a fast‑growing team supporting enterprise‑level security systems across the DFW region. This is a hands‑on field role responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex electronic security systems for commercial and industrial clients.

Technicians in this role will work directly with advanced security technologies including access control platforms, video management systems, and intrusion detection systems. The role involves system programming, project activation, commissioning, device installation, and ongoing service support for integrated security solutions.

This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently while supporting project teams and interfacing with clients. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys working with cutting‑edge security technologies and delivering reliable solutions in dynamic environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain enterprise-level access control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair intrusion detection systems (fiber and copper based)
  • Program and configure video management systems (IP-based and analog)
  • Perform preventive maintenance on integrated security systems
  • Install and commission security devices and system components
  • Diagnose system issues and implement effective technical solutions
  • Respond to service requests and occasional after‑hours calls
  • Travel to client sites throughout the DFW region
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and reports
  • Ensure systems meet security standards and industry codes
Required Experience / Skills
  • 5+ years of experience servicing electronic security systems
  • Experience with enterprise-level access control systems
  • Experience with video management systems (VMS)
  • Experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS)
  • Hands‑on experience with Genetec Security Center (video + access control)
  • Experience with Lenel OnGuard or Software House C
  • CURE platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Technical or electrical systems background
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and travel to client sites
  • Experience working in industrial or regulated environments preferred
Nice-to-Haves
  • Certifications in Genetec, Software House, Lenel, or Pro Watch
  • Experience with Avigilon video surveillance systems
  • Experience with Honeywell security systems
  • Networking and IT infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience with Senstar, Optellios, or FFT intrusion detection systems
  • TWIC card or experience working in chemical plant environments
  • Experience with network configuration or system integrations
Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay & Benefits Summary
  • Hourly Pay: $35 – $45 per hour
