What You Will Be Doing

• Installing and servicing physical security systems/platforms, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection, communications, and many other low-voltage systems.Â
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues.    Â
• Training/mentoring others within the team.Â
• Working as a valued team member on projects/installations to deliver quality results to our customers. Â
• Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application on client engagements.Â
• Working with trades and subcontractors assigned to projects.Â
• Serving as a lead tech on smaller projects/installations.

* What You Will Bring To The Team

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with the installation and service of enterprise-level physical security systems and platforms (Access Controls, CCTV, Intrusion / Burglar, etc.)Â Â
• Proficiency in all device installation, headend equipment, cabling, and ability to connect them to the network.  Â
• Basic understanding of networking and programming. Â
• Ability to oversee and train others on device installation. Â
• Demonstrated ability to use test equipment to verify installation. Â
• Ability to troubleshoot basic issues across various enterprise-level systems.  Â
• Ability to obtain appropriate licensure. Â
• Strong written and oral communication skills. Â

Your Environment And

Physical Requirements

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use;

be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.

On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday - Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.
