Facilities Technician I (Entry-Level)

The Facilities Technician I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems. This position assists technicians, completes basic maintenance tasks, and helps ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Assist with minor repairs involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to work orders and document tasks in the maintenance system.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and safety devices.
• Support facility cleanliness and organization, including common areas, storage rooms, and maintenance spaces.
• Help set up work spaces, furniture, and equipment for employees or events.
• Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues promptly.

• Basic mechanical aptitude – understanding how tools, equipment, and building systems work.
• General maintenance skills – simple repairs on doors, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Basic electrical knowledge – changing ballasts, outlets, switches, and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Basic plumbing skills – unclogging drains, fixing leaks, replacing fixtures.
• HVAC familiarity – assisting with filter changes, inspections, and simple tasks.
• Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.

• Basic software skills for entering work orders and updating maintenance logs.
• Knowledge of facility management and air handlers.

The role operates in a warehouse setting around dry cleaning machines, boilers, dryers, and conveyor systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.50/hr.
