Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 0538)

Roles & Responsibilities- Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions, recommend items, and thank every guest.
- Support the visual and operational store environment, promote current sales initiatives, and build repeat business.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system.
- Respond to guest comments and phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as the new title reservation program, trade‑in program, and Pro Rewards loyalty program.
- Assist the Store Manager with training associates, setting service expectations, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Supervise sales associates and retail keyholders when the Store Manager is absent.
- Maintain store cleanliness, inventory control, and loss prevention practices.
- Perform daily store inventory counts, restock shelves, approve payroll, and meet financial and shrink goals.
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Outgoing personality with strong people skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Operating the POS computer system and basic mathematics.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; minimum of 3 days per week availability.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for up to 12 hrs, and perform basic motor tasks.
