Retail Sales Associate

Overview

Retail Sales Associate - 2110 l-Time position at pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves greeting, engaging with customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions on both lending and retail sides of the business. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The successful candidate earns hourly wages plus commission based on productivity.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiables in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training and perform other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (as applicable).
• Ability to work at exterior locations or retrieve products stored in exterior storage areas as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

• Vacation: 1 week after 6 months of full-time service; additional weeks after 1 year and each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after 5 years.

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal gross profit. Additional details provided during the interview process.
