The assistant store manager will assist the general manager and ownership with the operation of a profitable store focused on exceptional customer service that exceeds customer expectations. Responsible for managing all aspects of a single store, including developing and managing a team dedicated to customer satisfaction. Assist with overseeing daily store operations to achieve sales and profitability goals, customer acquisition, and retention.

Accountable for inventory quality control, budgeting—including labor costs and operational expenses. This is a hands-on, lead-by-example position.

  • Team Development: Identify, recruit, and properly staff the store to ensure customer needs are exceeded while maintaining a labor budget goal below 20% of net sales.
  • Coaching, training, and motivating: Encourage team members to achieve higher performance and positive customer interactions.
  • Leading by example: Demonstrate high service values on the sales floor.
  • Meetings: Schedule regular team meetings for training, updates, and fashion trend discussions.
  • Sales and results driven: Develop and implement strategies to increase customer traffic, purchases, and sales.
  • Cost control: Adhere to company guidelines, balance COGS, and minimize losses.
  • Store presentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store exceeding customer expectations and surpassing competitors.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of current fashion trends relevant to the core customer base.
  • Leadership, coaching, customer service, and selling skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays, working 38-45 hours per week.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven management skills and ability to provide creative solutions to challenges.
  • High energy level and self-motivation without external prompts.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
