Responsibilities
Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood’s caring, multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Located in Arlington, TX, it is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport and one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers, Universal Health Services, Inc.
Position Summary:
The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care. This position will cover our three outpatient branch clinics.
- Millwood Hospital – Arlington Branch
- Millwood Hospital – Magnolia, Fort Worth
- Millwood Hospital – Midtown, Fort Worth
Day Shift
Rotating Facilities (Arlington & Ft. Worth) – 8‑hour shifts
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Must be available for full hospital and departmental orientations:
Week 1 – M‑F 8 AM–5 PM;
Week 2 – Mon–Wed 8 AM–5 PM.
- Education:
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred. - Licensure:
Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing. - Additional Requirements:
CPR certification; training in appropriate use of seclusion and restraint within 30 days of employment; successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment.
