Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU Days

Responsibilities

The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Typical Work Hours

Day Shift – Rotating Weeks, 12‑hour shifts, 6:45 am‑7:15 pm. Weekends required (days vary).

Orientation

Must attend full hospital and departmental orientations:
Week 1:
Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm

; Week 2:
Monday‑Wednesday, 8 am‑5 pm

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required;
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification; training in appropriate use of seclusion and restraint within 30 days; CPI training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days; certifications obtainable during new‑hire orientation.
