Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is an independently licensed 47‑bed facility with a 20‑bed Cardiovascular ICU and a 27‑bed cardiac telemetry unit. The hospital is accredited for Chest Pain through The Joint Commission and has earned the AHA Gold Plus award for Heart Failure for three consecutive years.
The hospital specializes in CABG, valve surgeries, thoracotomies, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, AMI, TAVR, Impella, and catheterizations including angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies. It operates in a team‑based environment with a cardiac focus.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Master's Degree from a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification required at hire.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification required at hire.
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification required at hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required before independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and the ability to function in a fast‑paced environment.
What You Will Do- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assessment, plan of care, and technical skills.
- Use communication and interview techniques to obtain comprehensive health histories and formulate care plans.
- Perform advanced health assessments to differentiate normal and abnormal findings.
- Synthesise knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to assess and provide therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve care processes and promote continuity of care.
- Initiate actions to meet patients/families’ needs and reduce patient risks.
- Perform specialty‑specific technical procedures safely and proficiently.
