Overnight Veterinary ER​/ICU Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Overnight Veterinary ER/ICU Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who excels in fast-paced emergency medicine while also providing attentive, high-quality care to hospitalized ICU patients throughout the night.

• Proficiency in IV catheter placement.
• Strong emergency and critical care nursing skills.
• Experience with blood draws and laboratory sample handling.
• Solid medication knowledge, including emergency and ICU medications.
• Excellent foundational veterinary technician skills.
• Ability to multitask between ER intake and ICU patient care.
• Experience with Cornerstone software is a plus, but not required.
• Skills assessment required prior to hire.

• Provide advanced nursing care to ER and ICU patients during overnight shifts.
• Triage and assist with incoming emergency cases.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient vitals, treatments, and responses to care.
• Administer medications, fluids, transfusions, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures and critical care cases.
• Manage hospitalized ICU patients, including ongoing monitoring and treatment adjustments.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, CSRs, and overnight support staff.
• Deliver exceptional patient care and professional, compassionate client communication.
• Support a mix of acute emergency cases, ICU patients, and routine overnight care needs.
