Registered Nurse (RN) Transfer Center

E. Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011
Work hours:
Full time, Midshift

- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- 4 years experience as a registered nurse in critical care, emergency services, or case management required
- 1 year transfer‑center experience within the last year required
- 1 year THR transfer‑center experience within the last year preferred
- RN license required upon hire
- Coordinate and facilitate patient transfers following the Transfer Center’s process flow and higher‑level‑of‑care requirements.
- Collect clinical information to determine patient’s level of care.
- Collaborate with THR on‑call physicians and non‑THR physicians to arrange transfer.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and be responsible for content discussed.
- Complete other duties as assigned, including transfer‑center data collection and monthly audits.
- Maintain knowledge base regarding evolving changes at each entity.
- Follow transfer protocols and actively seek updates regarding the transfer process.
- Utilize established protocols and guidelines for ensuring patients are safely and efficiently transferred.
- Stay up to date with departmental changes and complete assigned learning lessons and touchpoints before their due date.
- Contribute to departmental or organizational projects with approval by leadership.
