Are you an experienced forklift operator looking for a stable, full‑time role with growth potential? Pregis, an industry leader in protective packaging solutions, is searching for a skilled Material Handler to support our Arlington manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical part in ensuring materials flow smoothly to and from the production floor, supporting our teams, and keeping inventory accurate and organized.
🔧 What You’ll DoAs a Material Handler, you’ll be responsible for:
- Safely operating a sit‑down forklift to move raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and supplies throughout the facility
- Loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, and supporting internal transfers
- Maintaining accurate inventory and updating locations as needed
- Preparing finished product for shipment
- Keeping the warehouse organized using FIFO best practices
- Supporting a safety‑first culture by following procedures and maintaining a clean, hazard‑free workspace
- Communicating professionally with supervisors, production teams, and other departments
- Contributing ideas that improve workflow, safety, and efficiency
We’re seeking someone who brings:
- 1+ year of sit‑down forklift operation (required)
- 1+ year of inventory control or warehouse experience
- Experience using warehouse/inventory software (SAP a plus!)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and safety guidelines
- Strong organization and time‑management abilities
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and coachable attitude
- Indoor manufacturing environment
- Exposure to moving equipment
- Heat and humidity may exceed 90°F / 80%
- PPE required
- Frequent standing, bending, stooping, and walking
- Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to ~50 lbs)
- 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 schedule
- Overtime as needed based on business demand
