Press Brake Operator

Job Description

The Press Brake Setup/Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC press brake equipment in a metal fabrication environment. This role requires hands‑on experience with sheet metal, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform accurate setups, changeovers, and shutdowns. The ideal candidate can make minor program edits at the machine control and consistently produce high‑quality formed parts.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment.
  • Perform accurate setups, changeovers, and shutdowns.
  • Make minor program edits at the machine control.
  • Consistently produce high‑quality formed parts.
  • Perform simple machine adjustments and routine cleaning.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of hands‑on press brake operating/set up experience from a metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a tape measure.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and CNC machine operation.
  • Ability to use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Comfortable working around other fabrication processes such as press brakes, saws, weld stations, and material‑handling areas.
  • Ability to identify common metal types and thicknesses used in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with basic warehouse organization, including staging materials, labeling parts, and keeping inventory areas tidy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
