Position: Material Handler - Forklift (2nd Shift)



Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Forklift Operator for the 1st Shift at our Arlington, TX facility. (

Note:

The mention of 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm) seems inconsistent; please clarify if multiple shifts are available.)

BASIC FUNCTIONS & SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Complete forklift pre-operational checklist at the start of shift.
  • Stretch wrap pallets.
  • Maintain order in the warehouse (straight rows and proper aisles).
  • Inspect pallets or containers for damage or missing labels.
  • Pull, stage, and load shipments as directed by supervisor.
  • Scan loads and download scanner data.
  • Load finished goods and deliver to shipping or designated areas.
  • Unload trucks.
  • Load components necessary for production lines.
  • Lower down WIP (Work In Progress) products.
  • Coordinate and pull trailers in and out of docks.
  • Perform general maintenance of tractor (refuel, check oil, maintain appearance).
  • Complete dock hitch checklist.
  • Warehouse finished goods as instructed by supervisor.
  • Manage inventory control and rotate stock.
  • Maintain returnable items and pallets.
  • Communicate with other shift supervisors regarding issues.
  • Ensure all shipments are 100% checked.
  • Deliver dye to presses and return to the cage, maintaining the layout of the dye cage.
  • Deliver and check dryers before and after delivery.
  • Monitor bulk-dryer hoppers.
  • Stock incoming dye and coordinate P.O.U. stocking.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate paperwork for shipments and receivables.
  • Maintain operational efficiency and meet TS16949 requirements.
  • Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
  • Train and perform work of equal or lower grade as directed by supervision.
  • PPE Requirements:

    This position requires eye protection, hearing protection, and any PPE specific to the task being performed.

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to stand or sit for 8-12 hours, lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs regularly, perform overhead work, and work below waist level.
