Location: Arlington, TX

Work Model: 5 days in office

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 base + bonus (~10%) + RSUs

I’m partnering confidentially with a Fortune 500, publicly traded homebuilding organization to identify a strong Corporate Accounting Manager for a high-impact, succession-oriented role at their Arlington corporate headquarters.

Role Overview

The Accounting Manager will serve as a corporate liaison to field divisions
, leading month-end close activities, ensuring proper accounting treatment, and supporting operational and system initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close for assigned divisions
  • Review general ledger, job cost, and operational metrics for accuracy
  • Support divisions with complex or unusual accounting transactions
  • Act as a liaison between corporate accounting and field operations
  • Provide training and guidance on systems, policies, and procedures
  • Support process improvements aligned with the company’s operating model
  • Travel domestically a few days per month (planned in advance)
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (4–5 years considered for strong candidates)
  • Strong month-end close ownership
  • Current people management or significant supervisory experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Willingness to work fully in-office and travel periodically
Preferred (Not Required)
  • CPA or public accounting background
  • Big 4 or national firm experience
  • Homebuilding or construction industry exposure
  • JD Edwards experience
  • Prior exposure to Accounts Payable processes
  • Base salary: $125K–$150K (flexible for the right profile)
