Work Location:

Texas Health Arlington 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington, TX 76012

Work Hours:

Full-Time;
Monday - Friday from 11:00pm to 7:30am with Rotating Weekends.

Qualifications Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
  • 1 year of related experience with floor cleaning equipment in an institutional setting preferred.
Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments. Able to work around housekeeping chemicals. Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.

What You Will Do
  • Operate floor maintenance equipment, including but not limited to floor polish/burnisher, high speed buffers, riding scrubbers or carpet cleaners/extractors to maintain floors and provide a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order. Clean and store equipment properly after each use. Report equipment that needs repair or broken immediately to supervisor.
  • Follow safety and infection control practices when handling and disposing of regular and medical waste; practicing hand hygiene techniques; using standard isolation precautions.
  • Safely use the proper equipment for each assignment. Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies, according to procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to wall washing, cubical curtain changing, vent and light cleaning, furniture moves and set ups, collection and transportation of trash.
