Position Title

Title Researcher

Job Responsibilities

Researchers determine ownership and lien status for real property in order to assist in the collection of delinquent property taxes. The position also reviews documentation recorded at the County Clerk to determine if it affects the subject property.

  • Search, analyze, and evaluate records on titles by looking through private and public records.
  • Verify ownership of properties.
  • Verify legal descriptions and identify relative liens and encumbrances.

Job Experience Requirements
  • Prior experience in an office environment.
  • Preference for prior experience in a law office, title insurance office, or general abstracting experience.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Preference for some college education.
Other Requirements
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Work 37.50 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
Compensation

Hourly rate is $17.00 per hour.
