As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.
Your responsibilities will include
:
- Responsible for procurement, maintenance, availability of supplies and equipment pertaining to anesthesia
- Assists professional nursing staff and anesthesiologists during intubation and extubation phases of anesthesia
- Assists in preparation and placement of special invasive and non‑invasive lines/procedures
- Provides room turnover for anesthesia and in any other areas as time and skill allows
- Provides call coverage as needed.
- Transports and handles non‑controlled medications only.
- Operates specialty equipment such as Cell Saver, GEM
4000 and Hepcon analyzers. - Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.
- Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
- Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
- Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non‑invasive monitoring devices
