US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at our Heart Place clinic in Arlington, TX.
** Responsibilities:*
* • Operates implantable device programmers from all companies
• Interview patients, interrogate devices, interpret and document diagnostics on a flow sheet
• Remote monitor patients’ devices by logging in daily, receive event alerts and summary reports
• Inform/alert the physician to any therapy or pertinent events in a timely manner.
• Contact patients to answer questions or troubleshoot home monitoring connections when disconnected
• Schedule patients into the device clinic as required   
• Stay informed about new cardiac devices and algorithms available
• Report device malfunction’s, codes, and advisories to technical services
• Other related duties may be assigned
** Requirements:*
* • Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices from all companies, cardiac anatomy, and physiology
• Basic pharmacology, specifically anticoagulants and antiarrhythmics
• Knowledge of EKG's, three and twelve lead as well as Interpretation of diagnostics, EKG’s and EGM’s is required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• 2 years of experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology is required
