Salary Range: $19.24 - $21.00 Hourly

Kleiman Evangelista is looking for a full time Ophthalmic Scribe at our Clinic, and we are willing to train!

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas is a full-service, medical ophthalmology provider offering comprehensive eye care, LASIK, vision correction, and cataract procedures in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond. • Document physician documentation in EMR
• Medically assist the doctor through the patient examination
• Document any procedures that may be performed by the physician or ophthalmic medical personnel
• Transcribe the history, examination, impression, plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and orders
• E-prescribe medications in EMR
• Measure pupil size and reactivity
• Corneal topography
• Fundus Photos
• Retinal nerve fiber layer measurement
• Retinal thickness and topography
• Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures and triage phone calls
• Prepare examination rooms to provide all needed medications, forms, educational materials, etc.
• Coordinate surgical needs with the surgical counselors
• Coordinate with check-in and check-out staff regarding patients
• Create and provide a positive, accountable, and inspired work environment

• One year of ophthalmic scribe/technician experience in ophthalmology setting (or equivalent related ability) preferred
• COT or COA certification and Ophthalmology knowledge or Medical/ Ophthalmic Scribe experience desired
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy
• Well organized and attentive to detail
