Job SummaryWe are pleased to offer after‑hours care for our patients as an extension of their primary care coverage, and we believe this is an important contributing role. We offer the added benefit of an electronic medical record that facilitates communication back to the primary care physician.
After Hours Clinic and Expected Part Time Hours- Monday–Friday: 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
- Sunday: 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
- Prepare patients for X‑rays and laboratory procedures.
- Perform point‑of‑care (POC) testing.
- Verify patient identity and ensure all orders match the lab orders from EMR before the procedure begins.
- Ensure a high degree of service excellence is practiced with each patient.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after the procedure for safety and prevention of fainting.
- Educate patients and families regarding the procedure.
- Follow universal precautions to protect self and patients.
- Stock procedure rooms with supplies.
- Manage CLIA‑waived POC testing, including QC, proper specimen handling, and processing according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Take responsibility for lab equipment cleaning, quality control, and sterilization in accordance with OSHA and CLIA guidelines.
- Promote and provide quality healthcare services and education to the community in a convenient and compassionate manner.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow organization and OSHA safety rules and procedures.
- Uphold HIPAA/PHI regulations.
- Be punctual and dependable for assigned shifts.
- Sit, stand, walk, and/or move up to 8 hours per day.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented.
- NCT certification required.
- Knowledge of CLIA Waiver requirements preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 1+ years’ experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
