Millwood’s caring and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city.

It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. Position Summary

The Intake Counselor is accountable for directing the Intake, Assessment and Referral activities at the out‑patient facility. This position involves extensive contact with the community and interfaces closely with the Program Director, utilization review staff, Millwood Hospital staff and the Community Education Representative of Excel to ensure continuity of communication. This position is also responsible for inquiry calls, insurance verification, payment collections at the time of admission and data entry.

This is not a REMOTE Position!

Work Schedule
:
This position is for Day hours.

Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations:
Week 1: M‑F (8 AM - 5 PM)

Qualifications

Education
:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field.

Experience
: A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.

Licensure
: RN, LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LPC Intern.

Additional Requirements
: CPR and CPI training as outlined in New Hire Policy must be completed before providing direct care services.

Work Hours
:
Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)
