Brazos Residential is seeking a driven Asset Management Analyst to support the continued growth of our expanding multifamily portfolio. This role partners closely with our asset management team to execute strategic business plans, optimize property performance, and ensure long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide analytical and operational support across a portfolio of multifamily investments.
- Monitor property performance against business plans, analyzing financial results and key metrics.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining internal reports, including hold/sell analyses, valuation updates, and financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with in-house and third-party property management teams to evaluate performance, leasing activity, and market trends.
- Support the planning and execution of capital improvement projects and property-level budgets.
- Collaborate with asset managers to prepare annual operating plans, evaluating leasing assumptions, operating budgets, and capital expenditure priorities.
- Conduct market and competitive research to inform portfolio strategy and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Participate in due diligence for acquisitions, including financial and expense analysis.
- Support property dispositions, refinancing, and other asset-level transactions.
- Take ownership of special projects and initiatives as needed to support the asset management team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in multifamily asset management, real estate private equity, or commercial real estate underwriting (acquisitions, dispositions, or financings).
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Solid understanding of key financial statements, JV operating agreements, and loan documentation.
- Highly organized and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial setting.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software is a plus.
