Senior Finance Associate; Hedge Fund

Job Overview

Our client is a Dallas‑Fort Worth based Alternative Asset Manager (Hedge Fund) seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support Portfolio and Asset Management activities.

Responsibilities include NAV/P&L oversight, cash management, responding to inquiries, liaising with Front Office, coordinating third‑party valuation firms, and managing external fund administrators.

The role also collaborates with Deal, Operations, Investor Relations, Management Reporting, Tax, Legal, and Compliance departments.

• Oversee and lead the company's financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing and financial operations
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams on various initiatives impacting the financial reporting of the company including all financial metrics and KPIs
• Assist in preparation of annual GAAP financial statements, including coordination of year‑end audit inquiries from external auditors
• Create executive presentations of financial results for review with senior executives
• Support external audit engagements, managing and coordinating with auditors and external service providers, and preparation/review of audited financial statements and footnote disclosures
• Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation
• Provide support for other ad‑hoc analyses and projects as needed

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must; CPA preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience in Public Accounting or Private Accounting is a plus, including prior Financial Services experience (strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Revenue Recognition is needed
• In‑depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and detailed account analyses
• Experience or interest in accounting for Data or Technology Service companies
