Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer, Truck & Transportation Products, DFW Mid Cities.

An established manufacturer of aluminum and steel components and structures for the truck and transportation industry has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer for their DFW Mid Cities operation. This is a custom engineering operation that offers customers unique design choices and processes when manufacturing.

Mechanical Design Engineering experience with a strong understanding of the components of the products and the ability to create designs for all mechanical devices and equipment.

Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the design of mechanical products including trailers, automotive parts, oil, and gas products or related. Ideal industry experience would include truck, auto or mobile equipment (tractors, construction equipment or related is preferred.

Additional qualifications would include:

• 3+ years of experience in a Design Engineering role or related experience with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Solid Works and or Solid Works PDM Professional: the company is changing to this system.
• Deep IT & CAD/CAM knowledge (AutoCAD by Autodesk)
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Self‑motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative.
• Knowledge of Spanish is an extra asset.
