Commissioning Manager

About the Role

We are currently looking to hire a Commissioning Manager for our client, a leading industrial materials company whose products are essential to the low‑carbon, electrified technologies powering the modern economy. From electric vehicles to renewable energy infrastructure, their materials play a critical role in building a more sustainable future.

The Commissioning Manager will lead the execution of commissioning activities from construction through startup, ensuring all systems are safely tested, validated, and handed over to operations. This is a leadership role with direct impact on a successful plant launch.

• Develop and oversee the commissioning execution plan, schedule, and resource needs
• Lead daily coordination across contractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Manage commissioning superintendents and assign system priorities to drive readiness
• Facilitate PSSRs, energization reviews, and turnover walkdowns with operations and EHS
• Direct pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and startup work in alignment with the completions system
• Lead testing and verification efforts, including cause & effect and performance runs
• Ensure documentation (check sheets, redlines, punch lists) is completed and entered into the completions platform
• Report commissioning progress and system readiness to project leadership

• 10+ years of commissioning and startup experience on large industrial or capital projects
• Proven leadership of multi‑discipline commissioning teams in complex environments
• Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process systems
• Skilled at interpreting P&IDs, loop drawings, and control narratives
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with a safety‑first mindset
