Electrical CAD Technician

Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, TX (no remote or hybrid)

Work Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm

Travel: 1–5% (DFW office)

The Electrical CAD Technician supports technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers by producing high-quality computer-aided drafting and design solutions. This role assists in the creation and revision of engineering drawings and documentation in accordance with company, client, and discipline-specific drafting standards.

• Assist in preparing and revising engineering drawings of basic components based on sketches, layouts, or marked‑up designs
• Prepare and revise plot drawings as needed
• Support drafting design and documentation efforts across multiple projects
• Adhere to company, client, and discipline‑specific drafting standards and procedures
• Utilize standard drafting and detailing software tools
• Participate in continuous drafting detail improvement initiatives
• Research project design concerns and recommend drafting or design solutions
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards

• Associate’s Degree in CADD or Drafting (required)
• This position is not open to candidates with ABET‑accredited engineering bachelor’s degrees

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant drafting or CAD experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• Self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the field
