Lifecycle Engineer
Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Lifecycle Engineer to support our client's advanced engineering team in Arlington, TX. The responsibility of the Lifecycle Engineer is to evaluate system design for reliability, maintainability, supportability, and system safety, and make recommendations for improvement where deficiencies are found.
Responsibilities- Perform Reliability / Maintainability analysis and predictions to ensure training devices meet Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and training device availability requirements.
- Plan, develop, execute, and review integrated logistics support plans/records, logistics support analysis plans, safety/hazmat program plans, reliability/maintainability/availability program plans and other logistics documentation (e.g., ILSP, LMI, ASPK, RSPL, EIR, TECD, SFT, TES, RM test reports, TTEL, EDFP, parts lists).
- Develop technical solutions for Reliability, Maintainability or System safety problems, and identify required spare quantities.
- Provide mentorship to junior Logistics Management Specialist and Contractor Logistics Support Specialist.
- Work with hardware engineering on failure analysis and part replacement recommendations.
- Review field support requirements, recommend tool and test equipment, and establish calibration requirements for field systems/equipment.
- Create and present logistics material at design reviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Review handbooks for technical adequacy.
- Assist in development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
- Plan and contribute to proposal efforts.

Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences.
- 5+ years of direct Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) experience.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.
- Complete understanding and wide application of Reliability, Maintainability or System Safety technical principles, theories, and concepts with emphasis on hardware systems.
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to interpret Reliability, Maintainability or System safety requirements in Specs and SOWs.
- General knowledge of other related Logistics disciplines such as Provisioning, Technical Manuals or Technical Training.
- Ability to read/understand electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists and system indices.
- Technical document authoring/editing experience to include authoring/editing military aviation technical instructions/manuals.
- Familiarity with hardware CAD tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Adobe suite a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of a wide range Military Specs/Stds.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Must be able to work in an office environment at a cube desk for minimum forty hours per week.
May occasionally have to go to closed rooms, high bay or other manufacturing areas in order to see the work that needs to be performed.
