Are you passionate about HSE and want to make a real impact on field operations in heavy lifting? Join our team as an HSE Manager, leading safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Founded in Denmark,
BMS Heavy Cranes is a global player in crane solutions for wind energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Moving some of the world’s most ambitious projects, BMS Heavy Cranes is growing fast in the United States and is looking for an HSE Manager with strong experience in heavy-lift cranes and ideally a background in the wind industry.

Our U.S. operations have expanded rapidly—from just two cranes to 20+ cranes in only a few years—supported by a growing team of more than 70 employees. You will be joining a close-knit, international team where every hire makes an impact, and you will be responsible for monitoring compliance, supporting operational planning, and providing practical guidance to field teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

You will have frequent opportunities to visit project sites, in the US and Canada, staying close to operations, observing practices firsthand, and fostering a strong culture of safety and quality.

The U.S. team operates with a strong spirit of entrepreneurship, backed by deep technical expertise and a collaborative culture. This is a great opportunity for a self-driven professional who enjoys being in the field, as your work will directly support project teams, management, and decision-makers, ensuring that HSE is integrated seamlessly into day-to-day operations – fostering a strong culture of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily HSE compliance in all operational processes.
  • Administer the HSE management system, including reporting, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Identify and assess HSE risks in collaboration with project managers and field teams.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate HSE procedures and standards in line with company policies and legislation.
  • Conduct internal and customer audits, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present HSE statistics and insights to management.
  • Conduct regular site visits across the U.S. and Canada to ensure safe working practices, equipment readiness, and regulatory compliance—promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global QHSE Director and operations leadership to align global best practices with regional requirements.
  • Guide the response to incidents and near misses, including investigation, documentation, and communication with authorities.
  • Prepare concise weekly/monthly reports for management, including photos, site visit summaries, and improvement actions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in an HSE role, preferably in heavy lifting, construction, or wind energy operations.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Experience coordinating HSE activities across multiple sites.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% across the US and Canada.
