In the United States, Energix currently operates more than 600 MW of renewable capacity within the PJM region, supported by a multi‑gigawatt development pipeline. The company is making significant long‑term investments in the U.S. market and is well positioned for continued growth through its integrated EPC model and strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as First Solar and Google.

The Role

The M&A and Business Development Manager will be based in our Arlington, Virginia headquarters. In this role, you will support the Vice President of M&A and Business Development in identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition and partnership opportunities across the U.S. renewable energy portfolio.

The M&A and Business Development Manager will play a key role in advancing Energix’s growth strategy by conducting financial and commercial analyses, coordinating due diligence, and supporting negotiations for transactions involving solar, storage, and other renewable energy assets.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Evaluate renewable energy acquisition and partnership opportunities, including greenfield, late‑stage, operating assets and platform.
  • Lead and support financial modeling, valuation, and sensitivity analyses for potential transactions.
  • Coordinate full‑scope due diligence efforts in collaboration with Development, Technical, Legal, Interconnection, and Finance teams.
  • Support the preparation, review, and negotiation of transaction documents, including NDAs, LOIs, term sheets, and definitive agreements.
  • Work with external advisors including technical consultants, engineering firms, and financial advisors (e.g., DNV-type firms).
  • Prepare investment memoranda, summaries, and internal approval materials for senior management.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses to support transaction evaluation and commercial strategy.
  • Monitor transaction pipelines, timelines, and key deliverables to ensure efficient execution.
  • Engage with counter parties, partners, and external stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
  • Provide periodic reporting on M&A activities, market insights, and transaction progress to leadership.
  • Support in the definition of the company’s strategic decision by providing updates and insights into market trends and direction; including the preparation of analyses and presentation
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of specific degree requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years + of experience supporting or leading M&A transactions, project finance, or commercial roles within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Background in an Independent Power Producer (IPP), renewable energy developer, technical advisory firm, consultancy, or financial institution.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience evaluating renewable energy assets.
  • Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary due diligence processes.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across internal and external teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding U.S. renewable energy markets, transaction processes, and commercial frameworks is an advantage.
Work Location and Travel

This position will be based in Arlington, Virginia. Limited travel may be required within Virginia and the Mid‑Atlantic region.
