Position: CDL Program Director - 100% Traveling

Overview

Program Director-CDL Ancora Corporate Training Traveling Position. Reporting to the Regional/National Program Director, the CDL Program Director for Ancora Corporate Training is responsible for providing leadership for the CDL Program. This is a 100% traveling position. The CDL Program Director provides subject matter expertise and actively participates in the curriculum development, revision and implementation process. As the subject matter expert in a particular program, this CDL Program Director provides face to face product knowledge training to the Admissions or student groups, utilizing materials generated via the centralized curriculum development process.

This position is responsive to the Admissions or client staff when asked to engage with potential students and actively participates in new student orientation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for the CDL Program and manage a 100% traveling role.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and participate in curriculum development, revision, and implementation.
  • Deliver face-to-face product knowledge training to Admissions or student groups using centralized curriculum materials.
  • Engage with Admissions or client staff when asked to engage with potential students and participate in new student orientation.
  • Hire, assign, orient, develop, evaluate, and recognize instructors within the program(s) of study.
  • Convene meetings with faculty on a regular basis.
  • Monitor and support the student population within the program of study.
  • Play an active role in student advising during the provisional period and for students with career-oriented questions or engagement/progress concerns; advise on complaints and consult on student services as needed.
  • Analyze student population data with faculty and staff to identify at-risk students, contact them to identify barriers, and provide information concerning student services.
  • Lead continuous improvement of the program; participate in the campus effectiveness plan; collect data to analyze program performance; share findings with the Academic team for centralized curriculum improvement.

Requires up to 100% travel.

Qualifications
  • Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED (for CDL)
  • Industry license in the field of instruction if required by industry
  • 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
  • 5 years of commercial driving industry experience
  • 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Preferred:
  • 7 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
  • 10 years of experience in the field of commercial driving
  • Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
  • Previous experience as an academic program director
  • Experience in student guidance, or related field
  • 7 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
