Carlson Wagonlit Travel Sato Travel (CWTSatoTravel) is seeking a highly skilled International Travel Agent for an onsite location in the Northern, VA area.

As an International Travel Counselor, your mission will be to “Deliver the Perfect Trip” in order to sustain optimum results for our clients and for CWTSatoTravel.

• You will delight the traveler/travel arranger and all CWTSatoTravel clients
• Arrange domestic and multi‑segment international travel for clients, including air, hotel, rail, and ground transportation
• Be a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations which will provide the very best traveler experience
• Interact with travelers, and travel arrangers by leading and listening conversations to provide the first level of support for customer service and resolve simple customer problems
• Advise clients of international travel requirements such as visas, passports, immunizations, etc.
• You will strengthen the CWTSatoTravel brand
• Build loyalty by enhancing our clients’ overall travel experience while meeting every travel management service requirement and expectation
• Maintaining a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and ensuring to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
• Embrace new technology and ways of working to promote flexibility to adjust quickly to the shifting needs of the business
• You will build CWTSatoTravel’s value
• Possess a strong understanding of travel trends and industry best practices
• Seek higher levels of performance continuously

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong compute r skills with an em phases on attention to detail
• Three to five years travel agent experience preferred
• Ability to create multi‑segment, multi‑destination international itineraries
• Excellent knowledge of international travel requirements including:
• International geography
• Complex international routings and fare construction
• Documentation and immunization requirements
• Proficiency in a minimum of one year native GDS
• Government travel reservation experience is a plus
• Ability to meet and maintain required performance standards
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required
• Position dependent upon ability to pass and hold a top secret clearance
• Will train qualified persons who currently hold an applicable top secret clearance
