The Rangers are looking for a Broadcast intern to join our team! The Broadcast Intern will support day-to-day broadcast, media management, and game-day production workflows. They will be hands‑on, all access team members with exposure to every aspect of live game broadcast operations. This role combines technical organization, media handling, editing, and operational support to ensure smooth production, efficient content delivery, and well‑maintained production environments.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Assist the Social Media manager with game-day content needs.
  • Perform basic to intermediate video editing as needed for highlights, melts & records.
  • Assist with media management & logging of clips.
  • Support documentation efforts (Tech books, System Diagrams, Crew Sheets, etc.).
  • Sort & maintain distribution partner media kits.
  • Learn technologies associated with functions of the department.
  • Support broadcasters & production crew with in-game needs as they arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Adobe Create Cloud (Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, live-production environment.
  • Previous experience working in sports broadcasting, media relations, or a similar role.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, as required by the baseball schedule.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with broadcasters, media members and fans.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Understand or willing to learn the game of baseball.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and familiarity with content management systems.
  • Positive attitude, team‑oriented mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to easily lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
