We are a leading Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) panel system fabricator and installer headquartered in Ft. Worth and providing services to the surrounding regions. We have over 20 years’ experience specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of ACM building envelope systems and are continuing to expand into multiple other types of architectural finishes and cladding systems.

We are seeking a Project Engineer to work with our project managers, superintendents, and other department leads to assist in all aspects of the design, fabrication, and installation process for ACM panel systems and other exterior cladding systems. The ideal candidate will bring ingenuity and solutions to a growing company and have the motivation to move into a Project Manager position in the future.

This position is open to entry-level and experienced applicants.

• Coordinate the entire lifecycle of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist in contract reviews and track internal contract statuses until execution.
• Prepare, review, track, and organize project documentation, including submittals, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and close-out documents.
• Schedule and coordinate rental equipment needs for all projects and track all rentals for use to align invoicing. Maintain accurate records and timely coordination.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with the design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure that fabrication and installation processes meet industry standards and project specifications while hitting schedule deadlines.
• Review plan sets and specifications to begin compiling submittal packages and preparing scopes of work to internal and outsourced CAD designers for shop drawings.
• Support project managers in managing project risks, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (or an equivalent number of years of industry work experience).
• Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Entry-Level Qualifications Plus: 2+ years of previous work experience in commercial construction project management, preferably in the architectural finish/cladding industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore.
• Knowledge of construction processes, specifications, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Harper-Clayton offers competitive overall compensation and benefit packages that are adaptable to meet specific requests of individual employees such as PTO policies, travel and vehicle allowances/reimbursements, and bonus structures.

The expected base salary range for this position is $50,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
