- Work directly with the Project Manager
- Expert knowledge of assigned plans and specs
- Participate in the assigned project’s pre-construction phase, advising on all constructability issues
- Host mandatory preconstruction meetings with every sub before the start date
- Monitor the project’s quality control
- Understand, implement & uphold Pogue procedures and processes
- Maintain and update the Project Schedule
- Prepare an updated schedule to present at every sub meeting
- Create and develop short term construction schedule
- Complete, retain & maintain Daily Reports in the W:// Drive and project software
- Properly document the project and Sub-Contractor performance
- Monitor and ensure delivery of project materials
- Host weekly Sub-Contractor meeting
- Maintain a clean/presentable construction trailer and job-site
- Follow and enforce all safety guidelines to ensure a safe jobsite
- Ensure that all punch lists and procedures are followed (sub, architect, owner, and MEP punch lists)
- Oversee SWPPP operations
- Train Assistant Superintendent or other assigned staff
- Key Relationship-holder with District & Architect
- Other duties as assigned
- Start and finish your job with excellence
- Real-time handle on the budget
- Operates with a “Get it done…Now!” approach
- Working knowledge of all trades
- Know your project’s “construction sequence” while positioning your job “ahead of schedule.”
- Use submittal tracking software and logs
- Utilize Plan Grid Software
- Communication skills to proactively contact subs (material delivery & manpower)
- Forward thinker – be a proactive solution-finder
- Open, honest, and frequent communication with both the General Superintendent and the Project Management Team
- Minimum 20 hours of Continued Education (yearly)
- Internal and external customer service
- 2-5 years serving as an Assistant Super on commercial construction sites
- High School Diploma
- K-12 experience preferred
- Mid-Senior level
