Construction Superintendent - Municipal / Public Works
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead municipal and public works construction projects throughout the Dallas‑Fort Worth area. This role is ideal for a hands‑on field leader with proven experience delivering public‑sector projects safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with municipal standards and regulations.
The Superintendent will serve as the on‑site authority, coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders while ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence from mobilization through final closeout.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day field operations for municipal and public works construction projects
- Supervise subcontractors, self‑perform crews, and site staff
- Coordinate with city officials, inspectors, engineers, and owners’ representatives
- Enforce project schedules, site logistics, and sequencing
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain strict adherence to safety programs, OSHA standards, and site‑specific safety plans
- Oversee quality control, inspections, testing, and punch list completion
- Conduct daily reports, weekly meetings, and progress updates
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers on budgeting, change orders, and risk mitigation
- Municipal buildings and facilities

- City, county, or state‑funded construction
- Government buildings, libraries, community centers, fire stations, police stations, or similar public‑use facilities
- 7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Demonstrated experience managing municipal or public‑sector construction projects
- Strong knowledge of public bidding, inspections, and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
- Proficient with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
