Position: Assistant Project Manager (Industrial)

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Project Manager to support industrial construction projects in the Dallas area. This role is ideal for a construction professional with hands‑on experience who is eager to grow into a leadership position, particularly in industrial construction including tilt‑wall projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing industrial construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and milestones.
  • Support project scheduling, cost tracking, budget management, and resource allocation to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Monitor construction progress on‑site; identify potential delays or issues and communicate updates to the Project Manager and leadership team.
  • Participate in pre‑construction planning meetings, design reviews, and site inspections to support proactive decision‑making.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily logs, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of accountability and safe practices on‑site.
  • Assist in identifying potential project risks and propose effective solutions to prevent schedule delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
  • Support the Project Manager in client, architect, and engineer communications, providing updates and assisting in resolving field issues.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency, communication, and project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial construction; experience with tilt‑wall construction is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Plan Grid, MS Project, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ambition to grow into a leadership role within industrial construction projects.
