Market Operator – Retail / Military / National Accounts
This position can be based in any of the following areas in the Central Region, Chicago, IL;
Dallas, TX;
San Antonio, TX; or Houston, TX.
About the Role:
As a Market Operator – Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in expanding Bridor’s presence across National Accounts, Grocery Retailers, and Military channels in the Central Midwest.
You’ll drive product distribution and visibility by working directly with end-users and in collaboration with distributor and broker partners.
This is a high-impact, field-based sales role that requires hands-on product preparation and presentations, strong relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic account growth. You’ll report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and be part of a passionate team focused on executing Bridor’s sales strategy in a key growth region.
What You’ll Do:
- Expand distribution within national account chains, grocery retailers, and military food service outlets
- Work directly with distributor partners and regional sales teams to identify and close opportunities
- Prepare and present Bridor products to chefs, buyers, and culinary decision-makers (requires baking at home, in commercial kitchens, or on-site)
- Develop and maintain a prioritized target list across assigned market segments
- Execute against strategic plans to force product distribution where appropriate
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to support long-term retention and growth
- Provide regular insights on market activity, competitor positioning, and account feedback to sales leadership
- Travel up to 60% within the region, with 1–2 overnight stays per week for shows, meetings, and market visits
- At least 1+ years of experience in related sales, food broker sales, or distributor sales
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at various customer levels
- High energy, self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong ethics, professionalism, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
